WRITERS FORUM (WF) CALL FOR ENTRIES

Southern African Film and Television Market Sithengi are looking for strong African and South African writers to enter their feature film scripts into the 2005 Writers Forum (WF). Deadline: 15 September 2005

The WF is open to all writers of full-length feature film scripts/screenplays from South Africa and Africa. Sithengi is looking for well-written, uniquely African stories that are attractive to both a local and international market. The final selection of projects will be forwarded to invited local and international co-producers, financiers and distributors, before Sithengi 2005, who are looking for scripts. These industry leaders will then select the projects and writers with whom they wish to meet and the Sithengi team will set up one-on-one meetings with the interested producers and/or financiers. The Writers Forum (WF) will offer talented writers the opportunity to meet various African and International producers through this series of one-on-one meetings. The objective of the WF is to ensure that you will be 'matched' with the correct people - those who are genuinely interested in your project with the capacity to come on board with either financing or as a producer.

TALENT CAMPUS IN CO-OPERATION WITH THE BERLINALE TALENT CAMPUS

The Sithengi Talent Campus is presented in partnership with the Berlin Film Festival and modelled on their highly successful Berlinale Talent Campus and offers a platform for students as well as aspiring and established filmmakers to meet and exchange views and ideas with these experts on various aspects of the filmmaking process.
So, if you are;
* A film student registered at a tertiary institution,
* An aspiring previously disadvantaged filmmaker, not registered with a tertiary institution,
Then submit your application to the Sithengi Talent Campus.
